San Diego released new details for the long-term future of De Anza Cove, moving the northeast Mission Bay planning process toward a more defined proposal.
The plan had to reconcile wetland restoration with recreation, camping, athletic uses and public access. Each allocation of land affected the scale available for the others.
More detailed drawings made tradeoffs easier to see but did not settle them. The next decisions would determine whether the final plan matched the city's climate and recreation goals in practice.
