Jon Rahm birdied the final two holes of the South Course at Torrey Pines to win the 2021 U.S. Open, finishing at six under par.

Rahm's four-round total of 278 left him one stroke ahead of Louis Oosthuizen. The victory made the municipal course in La Jolla the stage for another memorable major, thirteen years after Tiger Woods won there in a playoff.

The championship again placed a public San Diego course at the center of international golf and reinforced the South Course's reputation as one of the city's most visible sporting landmarks.
