The San Diego Dark Sky Festival brought astronomy talks, environmental exhibits and public stargazing to Julian Union High School on Saturday afternoon and evening.
The speaker series covered bird migration and artificial light, Kumeyaay cosmology, binocular astronomy, current research and Julian's work to limit light pollution. More than 20 astronomy, nature and conservation exhibits joined solar viewing and hands-on activities on the school's football field.
