The San Diego Public Library launched Discover & Go, a program allowing eligible library cardholders to reserve free admission passes to participating local attractions.
The service extended the library's access mission beyond books and digital media. A reservation system connected patrons with museums and other cultural institutions that can otherwise carry a meaningful admission cost for families.
Discover & Go treated cultural participation as part of public library service. It also created a new route for residents to encounter institutions they might not have visited on their own.
